Popular vlogger Nas Daily is on the receiving end of the wrath from Filipinos after his attitude was ‘exposed’ by the founder of The Cacao Project, Louise Mabulo.
On Thursday, August 5, Mabulo shared to Facebook her experience with Nuseir Yassin or “Nas Daily.” This was linked to the issue between the vlogger and Apo Whang Od’s grandniece, Grace Palicas, who claimed that Nas Academy’s Whang Od Academy was a “scam”.
Over Twitter, Netizens were slamming Nas and trying to cancel his sites, including his Nas Academy.

A Netizen also pointed out that many foreign content creators were using Filipinos to gain popularity and views to make more money.
Nas Daily, Project NightFall, Big Guy Appetite, Happy Reactions, and a lot of Singer/Song Reactors on YouTube. Grabe kayo mga kumakapit sa Pinoy for popularity and money. https://t.co/kHibhz3gCu

Some already unfollowed Nas Daily and other foreign content creators who feature Filipino content.
As of today, and the issues against Nas Daily, his Facebook followers have been reduced—from 40 million to 20 million.

According to Mabulo’s post, Nas Daily ridiculed farmers in her province as “poor.”
“I watched him imitate and mock the local accent and language, vocalizing Tagalog-sounding syllabic phrases saying it sounded stupid. He repeatedly said that the people of my hometown ‘poor’.”
She then added that Nas is not interested in the farmers’ stories because it was “not clickable viewable content.”
What’s worse is that Mabulo revealed that Nas even “joked at the start of the day that all he needed was to put ‘Philippines’ in the title, and he’d rack in millions of views would and the comments would come flooding with brainless ‘Pinoy pride’ comments.”
Mabulo, who welcomed Nas and his team into their home, was shocked as she and her family did not even receive any gratitude from their so-called guests. Furthermore, she claimed that the vlogger “refused to eat” the food that her mother prepared for them.
She then shared her sentiments about the entire incident.
“I should have known better, that this man was exploitative and fueling a neocolonialist narrative using our need for foreign validation.
“I’ve stayed silent because I knew that I would face backlash for calling out on this man— after all, it’s easy to take Nusseir’s word over mine.
“And I’ve been haunted with the knowledge that he could manipulate years of my work with a single carelessly misinformed video—I chose to stay silent about it.
“I would not risk my hometown and the farmers here who benefit over an affront by some influencer. I told myself that if he really was like this, it would come to light eventually,” she wrote.
She also applauded Apo Whang Od’s grandniece for standing up against Nas and his team.
“Gracia, you did what I never had the courage to do until today, and if you ever read this, you are not alone in your experience. I stand with you and hope you can get justice and the compensation your tribe deserves from exploitative content creators.”
This accusation from Mabulo received a response from the vlogger himself. In his Facebook page, Nas Daily Tagalog, the vlogger, refuted the allegations of Mabulo, stressing that her story was “not true on the ground.”
He started by addressing Mabulo.
“Dear Louise. I have also kept my silence for two years out of respect to you. But I can’t let you share falsehoods on the Internet for free,” Nas Daily said.
His side said they were “supporting” Mabulo and her Cacao Project, which is why he and his team flew from Singapore to the Philippines to show the world her amazing story.
Nas then accused Mabulo of “faking” her story and not publishing any “fake news” on his website.
He then gave some “guidance” to Mabulo after breaking his 2-year silence of what transpired when they tried to share her story.
“So I kept my silence for two years. But now that you speak up about it, I have two advices for you:
