Singer Kyla is labeled as “transphobic” after being believed to be against transgender athletes, especially in the Olympics.
On Sunday, August 1, a screenshot of the comment was uploaded by a Netizen. The page, which belongs to the singer, commented, “That’s unethical” to the news article about the trans weightlifter.

However, it was not Kyla who made the comment. The singer clarified that she does not typically make comments using her fan page. She guessed that maybe it was hacked or it was one of the admins of the page.
Nope. I believe that’s my fanpage. I don’t usually reply, comment, or answer questions there. We hve a few admins. Baka na hack? I have to check and ask.

There was also a Netizen who judged Kyla and said that he would unfollow the singer because she was “transphobic.”
Sorry @kylaessentials but unstanning.
Hindi ko kayang i-support ang transphobia sa kahit na anong platform. https://t.co/mRRHoUWM8i— ⚫️kolsentertito x⚫️ (@kolsenertito) August 1, 2021
But then again, Kyla explained that she did not comment on the particular article. She also added that the Netizen was free to “unstan” since the Philippines is a democratic country.
You’re barking at the wrong person. That’s a fanpage you’re looking at with lots of admins. For sure, that was not me. But you’re free to unstan if you like. We’re in a free country. You can do whatever you like.

Another stressed that there should be no transphobia amongst humans. He then went on to conclude that there was “no sane explanation” for Kyla’s comment. But the singer insisted that she did not make the comment.
That was not me. For sure. I don’t read stuff like that. Or articles on facebook in general.

He then wanted Kyla to explain. However, it seemed that Kyla is done as she responded that she does not need to explain since there may be a possibility that one of the page’s admins must have made the comment.
I don’t need to explain. I already told you. Lots of admins. I don’t reply, answer questions, or comment in any article on facebook. I don’t engage on things like that.

The transgender athlete was New Zealand’s weightlifter Laurel Hubbard, who competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
She was one of the first transgender athletes to compete in the Olympics but failed to win a medal Monday, August 2, in the women’s over-87-kilogram division. It will be her first and only event in the Tokyo Games.
Aside from Hubbard, there were three other transgender and nonbinary athletes in Tokyo: Canadian soccer star Quinn, American skateboarder Alana Smith, and American BMX Freestyle rider Chelsea Wolfe.
