On August 23, Kapuso artist Kelley Day expressed gratitude for the positive feedback from televiewers of her breakout role in The World Between Us.
During the media conference for the Kapuso teleserye’s season break announcement, Day admitted that it felt good receiving positive feedback for her performance.
“The biggest break in my acting career, watching it back, I still can’t believe that it’s me. And, to be honest, when I watch my scenes nakaka-cringe. I guess I’m still self-critical about my performance, and that’s a good thing.
“It feels good to have the feedbacks. Especially that I really didn’t expect that my performance would be appreciated or would have good feedback.”
She credited her co-stars and the cast of the series for helping her out in her role.
“And I can honestly say that it’s because of mga kasama ko on set. You guys, as my co-actors, and the production, and sila direk, they’re just so uplifting and giving me the right amount of confidence.”
Aside from her stellar performance in the series, some also asked if she has plans to join Miss Universe Philippines. Day answered that she’s open to the opportunity.
“I’m always open-minded, po. Even sa project na ‘to, even the first time na I joined a pageant. I never planned to join, and I never expected that I would.”
In 2019, Day participated in Miss World Philippines and was crowned and Miss Eco Philippines. She then competed in Miss Eco International, where she landed the 1st runner-up title.
The World Between Us showrunners confirmed that they postponed locked-in tapings because of the recent lockdowns during the enhanced community quarantine. Before its season break, the series held the top spot as the number one teleserye in the Philippines.
The Kapuso series starring Alden Richards, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and Tom Rodriguez starts its season break on August 27 and returns on November 15.
During TWBU‘s season break, GMA Network prepared a new lineup of Kapuso shows such as Legal Wives, Endless Love, and Penthouse in GMA Primetime. For avid fans of the series, they can stream catch-up episodes on the iQIYI streaming app.
