Jessy Mendiola defended Angel Locsin from a basher who compared their looks.
The 28-year-old Kapamilya star took her stand against a netizen who commented on her social media post saying that she is more beautiful than Locsin.
Aside from this, the netizen also body-shamed the actress.
As a response to the netizen’s comment, Mendiola wrote: “Please tama na ‘yung ganyan. We are all happy na. Peace and love lang please. Ingat ngayong ECQ.”
Mendiola and Locsin are often pitted against each other by fans because of the past issues involving them.
Both have one thing in common–they were FHM’s sexiest. Mendiola was FHM’s Sexiest Woman in 2016; Locsin earned the same title twice—first in 2005 and 2010.
Locsin, now Mrs. Arce was Luis Manzano’s ex-girlfriend, who happens to be Mendiola’s husband.
Manzano and Locsin were together until 2009, then reunited in 2014 before breaking up in 2016.
It was rumored that Mendiola was the reason behind their breakup. Mendiola-Manzano denied this allegation many times.
However, Manzano clarified this issue by revealing that he and Locsin already had separated in January 2016 or five months before he started his relationship with Mendiola in June of the same year.
Manzano and Mendiola tied the knot in February 2021 in a private ceremony at The Farm in San Benito, Batangas, after dating for four years.
Locsin, on the other hand, announced on Saturday, August 7 that she and film producer Neil Arce exchanged ‘I Dos’ through an intimate civil wedding ceremony.
