On August 23, Kapuso actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith reacted to the possibility of having a ‘reel-to-real’ relationship with Alden Richards during a media conference for The World Between Us season break announcement.
Curtis-Smith said that everything in life has a chance, and she would confirm it after the end of their teleserye.
“Everything in life po may chance. Nasa sa atin lang po if we want to take the chance. So siguro sa ngayon will we take that chance? To be determined pa po.
“Tapusin ko po muna ‘yung show tapos balikan po natin ‘yung question.”
She then shared the reason behind their palpable chemistry in the Kapuso series.
“Pagdating kay Alden kaya ako kinilig kasi nakikita ko kung paano si Louie at si Lia mag-interact and kinikilig kami pareho with how naive, and kung gaano sila pakipot.”
She also recalled how their friendship slowly eventually grew throughout the projects they worked on together.
“Tuwing may nakakatrabaho kang actor nang paulit-ulit, I think your professional relationship eventually becomes a friendship, and it’s something na I’m really thankful for.
“I am thankful because he’s also the type naman to engage in conversation kung willing ka rin maging open. You know, sometimes we’re all just shy in the beginning, but we’ve warmed up.
“Mayroon na kong number niya. Last year hindi ko pa alam, this year alam ko na.”
In an earlier media conference, Alden praised Jasmine’s work attitude during their locked-in taping of The World Between Us.
“Hindi po ako nahirapan working with Jasmine since day one. We are on the same page po pagdating sa pag-arte. Mas nadadalian po akong mag-trabaho kasi si Jasmine knows her craft.”
The World Between Us halted its locked-in tapings because of the recent lockdowns. However, before its season break, the series held the top spot as the number one teleserye.
The Kapuso series starts its season break on August 27 and returns on November 15.
