Speculations surfaced on John Estrada’s transfer to ABS-CBN that he is avoiding his close friend Derek Ramsay.
Estrada is bound to join ABS-CBN’s longest-running action-drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and will have his lock-in taping in Ilocos. His role in the said series remains undisclosed.
He is coming back to his home network ABS-CBN. He became part of the said Network in 1990 but left in 2017 after a misunderstanding with co-star Mylene Dizon in the Kapamilya series, The Good Son.
In 2018, he joined GMA Network and last appeared on the recently-concluded series Babawiin Ko ang Lahat. Meanwhile, Ramsay moved to GMA Network in 2019.
Some people assert that he decided to move to another network to avoid Ramsay, who used to be his best friend.
The conflict between Ramsay and Estrada started when the latter alleged that Ramsay’s fiancée, Ellen Adarna walked out of the set of John En Ellen.
Ramsay and Adarna denied the allegations, but Estrada’s statement has already humiliated Adarna.
With what happened, Ramsay decided to cut ties with Estrada and said, “I just want to avoid any negativity, I’m entering the next chapter of my life…I wish you well bro, but that friendship is definitely out the door.”
Estrada, the one who paved the way for Ramsay and Adarna’s relationship, felt bad that their years of friendship had to end that way.
“Six years nga yung friendship namin pero ganun talaga… Tinuring ko siyang parang kapatid ko pero kung ganun lang tingin niya sa pagkakaibigan namin e wala na akong magagawa dun. All is good,” Estrada resigned with a sigh.
