The pandemic made it easier for international artists to appear in Philippine shows because of Zoom, a videotelephony and online chat platform.
This August 7, MYX Awards 2021 had commenced as it recognized Filipino music fans’ favorite artists and music videos. The event also had international artist Ed Sheeran, who is set to return on a Philippine show via GMA Network.
Through their social media accounts, the Kapuso Network announced on Wednesday that the English singer-songwriter would be appearing on its variety show All-Out Sundays this coming Sunday, August 15. He will perform his newest single, Bad Habits.

Aside from Sheeran, who guested on MYX Awards, LANY, AJ Mitchell, Alec Benjamin, Clinton Kane, Jack Kays, James TW, Joel Corry, John K, JP Saxe, Lukas Graham, MAX, Maximillian, New Hope Club, Ritt Momney, T1419, Tom Grennan, Valley, Pink Sweat$, performed there as well.
Earlier on July 11, ABS-CBN featured Coldplay in its variety show ASAP NATIN ‘TO. Through Zoom and digital video conferencing, the British rock band offered Filipinos their latest single, Higher Power.
Since physical concerts have been restricted in the country, digital platforms like Zoom have given local and international performers the means to provide entertainment for their fans worldwide through virtual concerts and appearances.
