The hashtag #PidoWeLoveYou trends on Twitter as Pido, an assistant cameraman of It’s Showtime, revealed his heartbreaking love story–a failed relationship with his lover.
In an episode of Madlang Pi-Poll on the noontime show, Vice Ganda asked a question that would, later on, reveal a dark past relationship of Pido.
Vice inquired Pido the same question he asked the studio players and other co-hosts: what would be your reason to leave your partner?
Before answering the question, Vice interviewed Pido about his relationship status. Pido revealed he is already married for five years.
Pido contemplated first and answered with a shaky voice. He replied letter A—“May iba na siya.”
“Kapag may iba na, iiwan mo na siya?” Vice interrogated.
Pido was already on the verge of crying when he responded: “Hindi ko alam, eh.”
“Or ipaglalaban mo?” Vice curiously asked.
“Ipaglalaban,” Pido shared.
“Hanggang kailan?” Vice questioned him again.
“Hanggang kayang lumaban,” Pido straightly answered, which made him earn the sympathy of the It’s Showtime hosts.
“Ganoon din naman ako: ipaglalaban hanggang kaya’t lumaban. Love you, Pido.” Vice related himself and gave Pido a pat on the shoulder.
Via Twitter, the hashtag #PidoWeLoveYou emerged to give Pido encouragement, which became a nationwide trending topic.
