Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla confirmed that a new series and a movie with his girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo are already in the pipeline.
On a YouTube live streaming interview with Boy Abunda, Padilla shared his upcoming projects at The Purple Chair Interview.
“Serye muna kami.
“May meeting kami very soon for a movie,” he answered after Abunda asked about what’s next for him and Bernardo.
The series, he is referring to is the one that ABS-CBN teased in December 2020.
It hinted with a logline: “Kaya mo bang ipaglaban ang inyong pag-ibig kung galing kayo sa magkaibang panahon?”
However, the new upcoming movie of the real-life couple is still yet to be officially announced.
“The last movie na dapat gagawin namin ni Kathryn, hindi natuloy. Biglang nagka-pandemic, bawal nang bumiyahe.
“The story was based para talaga sa America. Kung hindi mo siya gagawin doon, hindi puwede,” Padilla was referring to After Forever, which was supposed to be shot in San Francisco.
The movie was announced in February 2020 and would be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
Both Bernardo and Padilla have been vocal regarding the shutdown of the ABS-CBN Network.
She admitted that she felt the need to speak up to the people affected by the closure of the Network.
Padilla has confronted his countrymen by opening their hearts and eyes to see the truth amid the hard times the Kapamilya Network is facing.
The last film Padilla and Bernardo had was The Hows of Us (2018), which earned the title of the top-grossing film of all time.
It was followed by their recent series titled The House Arrest of Us, which has a total of 13 episodes and ended in January this year.
