On August 16, during the media conference for their contract renewal of Cassy and Mavy Legaspi, Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi’s twin children expressed their gratitude toward GMA Network’s trust for their contract renewal.
Cassy and Mavy shared their excitement with the press regarding their newest career milestone.
“We’re very excited because we know that GMA (Network) has a lot of plans for us. And we know that we are in good hands. And at the same time, we are super thankful that GMA trusts us, I mean for them to renew us. It really means a lot,” said Cassy.
“Their trust in us makes us really want to prove them also their decision, and their trust in us won’t be a mistake,” Mavy added.
Mavy then recalled the twins’ contribution to GMA Network in the past four years, noted First Yaya and I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.
“We were blessed with so much. But nagkataon lang na First Yaya was the one that’s really for Cassy. And for me, I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.
“There are many laid projects for us. But this one talaga really hit the jackpot.”
Cassy then teased her upcoming project with the network, wherein she aimed to level up as an actress.
“I can’t really say kung ano ‘yung next project, but I can say na may next project na. It’s going to be exciting kasi parang gusto ko na mag-level up.
“Its time to step up ‘yung acting ko. Mas drama, mas matured, mas nakakakilig.”
As for working on a project together, Cassy and Mavy agreed that they are open to it, but they prefer to explore working with other Kapuso artists at the moment.
“That will be fun. That will be great. I think that will be a great experience syempre. But I think we’re so hooked on the idea of working with so many great artists.
“We kind of want to work with each other last na. But if the chance arises, and we’ll do a show together. That will be a very fun experience because I get to see Cassy on a different side,” Mavy explained.
“Sa future na lang,” Cassy agreed.
The twins are working on their respective projects with GMA Network at the moment.
Cassy recently starred in the top-rating teleserye First Yaya. She also gained an endorsement with the shampoo brand Palmolive.
As for Mavy, he’s part of the new youth-oriented variety show, Flex. He also just finished his locked-in taping with I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.
