In the August 2 vlog of media personality Christine Babao, the married celebrity couple Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia talked about how they managed their finances.
The two admitted that their life was changed since the pandemic started.
Adding to that, ABS-CBN’s shutdown and their growing family have made things more difficult and it prompted them to be more conscious in handling money.
They are also allocating savings for their baby, Amari.
Crawford and Garcia said they are thankful for being blessed enough everyday of their lives.
She shared that fighting over money is like a forbidden thing between her and him thus they try to avoid it.
“We really try not to. For us, it’s a law. The time na mag-argue kami sa money we feel like we hit a law,” she shared.
Meanwhile, he implied that money should not take over important things like love, respect, and communication in a relationship.
“Honestly, I feel like it’s disgusting when it overpowers love, it overpowers respect, it overpowers communication” Billy commented.
Coleen then added, “We just had discussions. We reprimand each other. Pero yung mag-away, parang no.”
Crawford then said that they never pointed fingers at each other especially when it comes to money issues.
“We’ve called each other out of things and we’ve learned from our own mistakes, from other people’s mistakes.”
The couple said that they learned to be more careful when handling money because they were once fooled by a person close to the family.
Both also left their money advice for the viewers and Amari if ever he would watch the video in the future.
“Be careful with money because money can also be evil. It can really ruin people’s lives and relationships. If you let it define you. It will take over you. The money is there, it doesn’t grow on trees, you work for that,” Crawford shared.
Garcia then echoed his words by saying: “Just don’t let money run your life because money is not happiness. Maraming differrent types of wealth, it’s not just money. God provides in many differrent ways. We learn this actually during the pandemic.”
Both started dating in 2013. Despite their 10-year-age gap and issues surrounding them, their relationship lasted.
They tied the knot on April 20, 2018, at Balesin Island Resort in Polilio, Quezon. On September 10, 2020, she gave birth to their son Amari.
He is currently hosting his third show on TV5, The Wall. She, on the other hand, is taking a break from the spotlight.
