The KathNiel teleserye remains as the only series that ABS-CBN promised that has no definite premiere date yet.
To recall, ABS-CBN released a trailer of shows to be televised in 2021 as the network partnered up with the A2Z channel.
Some of the shows that the Kapamilya network promised have already been released like Huwag Kang Mangamba, Init sa Magdamag, Almost Paradise, and La Vida Lena.
The following series has been released on March 22, April 19, March 21, and June 28, respectively.
Another series that ABS-CBN promised was the movie-turned-series Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series.
The premiere of the series was canceled several times due to the problems that the COVID-19 pandemic brought.
However, Jane de Leon is soon to take flight as Darna after it was announced that the series would resume its filming this September.
From the announced roster of upcoming Kapamilya shows for 2021, only the KathNiel series remain to be released.
Their upcoming series still has no title, but accordingly, their project features a story exhibiting how love conquers time.
In a live-streamed interview with Boy Abunda on Thursday, July 29, Padilla confirmed that his series with Bernardo is finally pushing through.
The said interview served as the first episode of Abunda’s The Purple Chair series on YouTube.
Padilla revealed that aside from their series, a film co-starring them is also in the works.
“Serye muna kami,” Padilla said.
He then added, “May meeting kami very soon for a movie.”
The Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla tandem previously starred in another series, The House Arrest of Us, which premiered in October 2020.
The series then made its debut on Netflix in February 2021, which previously held the number one spot in Netflix Philippines’ top ten most-watched content in the country.
