Upcoming Vivamax film 69+1 cast members Maui Taylor, Rose Van Ginkel, and Janno Gibbs had different insights on whether a celebrity, amid the pandemic, should enter the porn industry or not.

The three stars answered the question during the virtual press conference of the film, Tuesday, August 9.
Taylor was the first to answer the question. She’s not in favor of celebrities resorting to porn just to make a living.
“If you want an honest answer, it’s a big no. Pwede naman tayong kumita nang hindi porn yung pinapasok natin,”expressed Taylor.
For her, other jobs would feed her family.
“Kasi for me, I could earn by doing something else eh. If I need to work a day job, [an] eight-hour office job, for me, mas gagawin ko na lang yun kaysa yung pasukin ko ang porn industry.
“I think I would be happier feeding my family or my kids with clean money rather than doing something like that.”
Taylor’s co-star Ginkel also shared the same sentiment. However, if some celebrities do get involved in the porn business, she will not take it against them.
“Pero ako naman wala naman akong against sa mga taong nagbebenta ng gano’n para lang kumita,” responded Ginkel.
Ginkel explained that she has no right to judge those people.
“Pero itong mga taong ‘to may nakukuha sila and ‘di natin alam kung sa’n napupunta yung pera na yun, p’wedeng sa family nila.
“Ang daming p’wedeng mangyari. Hindi ako against do’n pero wala eh, may mga ganung tao talaga, gano’n yung isip nila.
“Yung pera na yun di natin alam baka buong pamilya nila yung kumakain.”
However, Gibbs, the leading man of Taylor and Ginkel, understood that people such as celebrities have the right to decide if they want to enter into such kind of industry.
“I don’t think your job or what you do for a living defines what you are in real life. Yun lang masasagot ko,” he reckoned.
Gibbs added that it is just a way of living and would not define a person as a whole.
“Ang mga basurero hindi ibig sabihin sa tunay na buhay madumi sila ‘di ba? What you do for a living does not define who you are in real life. It’s just a means of living.”
69+1 is about lesbian couple Ivy (Taylor) and Patricia (Ginkel) who are on their way to their seventh anniversary.
The couple has come up with a way to end their ‘seven-year-itch’ by having a man in their relationship.
They agreed to have a throuple—three for a couple, for a year, since they missed the physical aspects of a man.
That is when Gibbs, who plays a photographer Apol comes in. Ivy and Patricia found their desired qualification in Apol but were certain that they could never get attached to him.
Together, they will discover if a polyamorous relationship will work for them or not.
Catch the movie, directed by Darryl Yap, the man behind Paglaki Ko Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar, Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam, Revirginized, and more. 69+1 will be streaming on Vivamax starting on September 3.
