TV host Vic Sotto warned those who spread fake news online and practice cyberbullying.
It can be recalled that these issues were discussed during the July 10 episode of Eat Bulaga’s Bawal Judgmental segment.
Sotto reminded that spreading fake news and cyberbullying is not tolerable; adding that persons who practice these will face punishment soon.
“Nakikita kayo. Tandaan n’yo ‘yan, nakikita kayo at hindi natin ‘yan palalampasin.
“Darating ang araw na may paglalagyan kayo.”
He jested, “Yung mga nambu-bully, mga nagpe-fake news… n’yo!”
Sotto did not mention any fake news directed at him, many believe that he is referring to his rumored relationship with former Eat Bulaga! co-host Julia Clarete.
In June, rumors about Sotto and Clarete resurfaced online which said that they had a relationship in the past. The comedian allegedly got Clarete pregnant, forcing the host to move out of the country.
Clarete lived in Malaysia for years with Irish husband Gareth McGeown and her son with Stephen Uy, Sebastian. In 2018, she returned back to the Philippines.
She resigned as one of the hosts of Eat Bulaga! after ten years due to personal reasons. Meanwhile, Sotto is now married to Pauleen Luna for nine years. They have a daughter named Tali.
