July 2021 – Singapore – Punk artist NOAHFINNCE has released a new single and music video, “MIND BLANK NO THOUGHTS”, out now via Hopeless Records. The driving, chaotic guitar and catchy anthemic vocals makes the new single, produced by Jason Perry (McFly, Don Broco, Trash Boat) and Jordan Cardy (Rat Boy), reminiscent of early pop punk bands like Green Day and Blink-182, but NOAHFINNCE puts his own flair on it to carve his own path.
On the new single, NOAHFINNCE shares “The song is about being so overwhelmed with how much sh*t is going on in the world that your brain just switches off and you completely disengage. For me this translates to the outside world AND my personal life – when things get overwhelming I kind of shut myself off as a defence mechanism.”
The music video for “MIND BLANK NO THOUGHTS”, concept by NOAHFINNCE and directed by Luke Cutforth, follows the same wonderfully wacky trend as previous music videos “Stupid” and “Life’s A Bit”, complete with clever callbacks, frenetic performances, and fun visual effects that create the world of NOAHFINNCE.
Recording the song during the pandemic and in the middle of lockdown, NOAHFINNCE shared the experience of writing and recording socially-distanced. The experience gave him perspective in a trying time. “The world is a bit f*cked up right now,” he explains, “but being complacent in the face of injustice does you and the people around you a disservice.”
NOAHFINNCE is the alias of Noah Adams, a voice for a generation who are fed up of being told how to be. A virtuoso performer (he plays drums, guitar, bass, ukulele, and sings as LOUD as possible), NOAHFINNCE is ready to flip off tradition and any roles that society expects him to fulfill, and instead continues to champion authenticity and self-expression. Having amassed over 600,000 YouTube subscribers and over 330,000 Instagram followers, Noah brings his own alternative and no-nonsense take on LGBTQ+ issues.
