Many netizens wanted to see Bea Alonzo in her talk show on GMA Network.
Now that she is part of the Kapuso network, fans are looking forward to seeing Alonzo’s new path in showbiz.
Alonzo recently collaborated with multi-awarded journalist Jessica Soho on her YouTube channel, which currently has 1.79 million subscribers.
Soho shared her mango jam recipe and inspirational personal stories with Alonzo.
While cooking her jam recipe with the actress, Soho recalled her near-death experience when she and her crew flew to Spratlys, sometime in the 90s.
Soho narrated, “Sometime in the ’90s pumunta rin kami sa Spratly’s. Pagpunta namin, hindi namin nakita ang islands ng Philippines. Nakita namin ang mga islands ng ibang bansa.
“Nung hindi namin nakita, nagturn around yung eroplano back to Puerto Princesa. Nagstray yung path ng eroplano. Halos maubusan kami ng gas. Nung makakita ng island yung piloto, parang miracle. It could have been any island. Biglang may island may island na may landing strip.
“Diba Bea, what are the chances! In the meantime, in Manila, nagpapamisa na yung news room namin.”
To her shock, Alonzo exclaimed, “Oh my God! Ganun na yung level.”
The TV host then added, “Kasi akala nila patay na kami. They were preparing are obituaries na pero ito buhay pa rin.”
Following this, the actress asked, “Having experienced all of those mga near-death experience, may nagbabago ba sa ‘yo in each time?”
“Maikli lang talaga ang buhay. Fleeting talaga,” Soho told the actress.
The actress then commented, “Kaya siguro po ang kalma ninyo. Sobrang kalma niya kasama.”
“Pag in-charge ka iinit talaga ulo mo ngayon sumusunod na lang po ako sa utos ng mga producers ko. Mabait na po ako,” Soho laughingly remarked.
After having a long talk, the two finally tasted the sweet jam paired with bread.
“Ang sarap! Try n’yo to” Alonzo exclaimed.
While savoring the snack, Alonzo brought up Soho’s helpfulness to the local farmers.
She said, “Napansin ko po you’re very mindful to help the farmers.”
Soho explained, “Kasi laking probinsya ako Bea. Alam ko ang paghihirap ng mga magsasaka natin eh. Wala masyadong upward mobility ang buhay ng magsasaka natin. Two tablespoons lang of coco sugar matamis na siya. Hindi kailangang maging overly sweet lalo na for people managing their sugar levels.”
The actress then revealed her funny side by quoting a “hugot” line.
She quipped, “Kasi pag overly sweet, may mali. Char! Hahaha. Hindi real pag overly sweet.”
She ended her vlog with a thank you message for Soho.
“Thank you for being here, for guesting and for sharing your recipes. And most importantly, thank you for sharing your stories. You are such an inspiration to everyone.”
After her interview with the broadcast journalist, many viewers were convinced that apart from acting, she got the skills of a good TV host.
Here are some of the netizens who reacted to her interview with Soho.

Ms Jessica Soho appearing in Bea Alonzo's vlog is one of the best collabs I've ever watched so far. Mas lalo mo maaappreciate si Ms Jessica, lalo na first time nya maguest sa isang vlog. Ang interesting ng kuwentuhan nila. Very peaceful lang yung ambiance.

Upon signing her contract with GMA Network on July 1, the multi-awarded actress requested to host a talk show and do other genres on television.
Alonzo shared, “Siguro ibang facets of my talent. ‘Di ko alam, baka sitcom, other things. I am yet to discuss that with GMA. So sana pagkatiwalaan din nila ako ng ibang types of genre [sa telebisyon].”
