Asia’s Next Top Model Season 5 winner Maureen Wroblewitz shared what toughened her as a person.
In an exclusive interview, Wroblewitz recounted the life experiences that toughened her.
“What made me tough is all the experiences I had to go through. I lost my mom; I had to move to Germany; I had to fit in.
“So, there are a lot of things that happened in my life that really shaped me into the person that I am today. It has definitely made me grow. It has definitely made me stronger.”
Wroblewitz also added a piece of advice on how to deal with someone’s past and use it to become a strong person.
“Instead of dwelling on your past, really thank your past experiences, whether they be good or bad, because they made you the person that you are today. So, I thank them because it had made me strong.”
Maureen also described herself as someone with two personas.
“So, I feel like IG is more of the “serious side.” But then I’m more of what you see on JK’s account. I would describe myself as weird, awkward, clumsy, and that’s who I am, really. It’s just maybe two personas ’cause I am an introvert, but then I also have to be an extrovert for work. So it’s two of me in a way.”
As for entering showbiz, Wroblewitz said it was the right time to pursue her passion for acting.
“What made me decide to enter was I thought it was really the right time.
“I really believe that it is important to wait for the right time. So I thought it is now because I’ve done modeling, I’ve done hosting, and now I think it’s time for me to focus on acting because that really has been my passion ever since.”
And now that she’s doing workshops with Star Magic, Wroblewitz focuses on improving her acting skills.
“I’m open to everything. I have voice lessons right now, but I would love to focus on acting first. I would need a lot of lessons for dancing. Because I’m not the best dancer and I’m not the best singer. But yeah, it would definitely be acting first.”
Aside from acting, Wroblewitz said she also wants to do workshops for her dancing skills.
“I would say dancing. Because I am doing voice right now, and I am doing workshops with Direk Rahyan for acting, so I would say I really need to do dancing.”
During her stint in Asia’s Next Top Model in 2017, Wroblewitz would usually be on the receiving end of comments from her fellow contestants. However, she proved them wrong as she came out the winner of ANTM‘s fifth season.
Wroblewitz signed her acting contract with Star Magic in the much-awaited Star Magic’s Black Pen Event on June 19.
