Kapuso artist Lexi Gonzales clarified to one of the common misconceptions about Gen Zs being ‘know-it-alls.’
In an interview for the upcoming comedy-musical variety show Flex, Gonzales answered, “Laging nagmamagaling. I think ‘yun ‘yung biggest misconception.”
However, Gonzales made clarifications about the said perception.
“‘Cause I think our generation wants to learn more, discover more. And, ayaw na namin nung bara-bara lang. ‘Yun ganon-ganon lang. We want information and education to spread.”
Gonzales hosts Flex along with Mavy Legaspi, Joaquin Domagoso, and Althea Ablan.
Flex airs its first episode on GTV this July 4.
Gonzales also highlighted their working environment–on the set of Flex, according to her she always feels the pressure to become better.
“Ako ife-flex ko na lang ‘yung bond namin and ‘yung pagiging magaan namin sa isa’t isa. Like everyone is comfortable with each other. So nakikita ko naman, I think everyone is really comfortable with each other.
“Everyone is having fun. Sa pressure naman, the pressure will always be there, because of course, I want to do better, I want to do good all the time. So, I’m pressuring myself to do good, to do better.”
Gonzales also expressed her gratitude for the opportunities she received from the GMA Network during the pandemic.
“I’m beyond grateful. Really thankful kasi good things happened even though nagkaroon ng pandemic. And, one of the biggest blessings that I received is Flex. And, this is my first time being a host. And doing new things in a show. So I’m really excited.”
Before her stint with Flex, Gonzales was a Star Magic talent who made it big in Starstruck. She also worked on Kapuso projects, such as My Fantastic Pag-ibig.
