Jake Ejercito cannot contain his excitement with his first project as a Kapamilya since it is also his first TV series as an actor.
The actor is part of an upcoming series Marry Me, Marry You produced by ABS-CBN and Dreamscape Entertainment. It will star Janine Gutierrez, Paolo Avelino, and Sunshie Dizon.
Not only the show is his first teleserye ever, but it was also because of how the story was crafted.
“It’s not only my first Kapamilya project, but it’s also my first teleserye. Exciting kasi iba ‘yung flavor ‘nung show eh. Hindi siya ‘yung usual teleserye na ma-drama.
“Parang dra-medy and it’s very family-oriented. So we look forward na mapanood talaga ng mga viewers itong Marry Me, Marry You kasi it’s something different talaga,” Ejercito revealed in an exclusive interview with LionhearTV.
He also shared his experiences with his first locked-in taping as a Kapamilya. The actor even admitted that with the amazing artists working with him, he cannot contain himself and sometimes was mesmerized by how they act.
“It’s been a huge learning experience for me. Minsan pag nagte-take kami, I find myself na nakiki-nood na lang din. Dahil sa galing nila umarte. Parang minsan nagiging fan ako in the middle of the scene,” revealed Ejercito.
In fact, during the first cycle of their locked-in taping for Marry Me, Marry You, Ejercito was comfortable with his co-actors, that they were already close as a group.
“So far dun sa first locked in, it’s a very close-knit group eh. Parang wala kaming age gaps sa totoo lang. Ang cool din ng mga veteran actors na kasama namin.
“Sina sir Lito Pimentel, sir Edu, ate Vina. When we have breaks kunwari sa set, parang lahat nagja-jive, which is really really good.”
Meanwhile, the actor has no favorite or dream artist that he would want to work with. For him, anyone will do, as long as he could learn from them.
“Napakahirap sagutin kasi ang daming magagaling sa Kapamilya Network. And in my case as a newcomer, I just want to work with anyone who I could learn from.
‘”Coz I really want to know more about the craft. So open naman ako to work with anyone. It’s hard for me to choose just one from the roster of ABS-CBN and Star Magic. Kasi ang daming magagaling talaga,” he admitted.
In the meantime, the actor has not revealed any upcoming projects after Marry Me, Marry You. His explanation is that: “I just want to focus on Marry Me, Marry You. I want to take things one step at a time. And I want to give my best talaga dito sa show na ‘to.”
Catch him in the upcoming TV series, “Marry Me, Marry You”. Soon on ABS-CBN.
