Actor-Singer Joao Constancia recalled how he became best friends with Iñigo Pascual.
In an interview, Constancia shared how he and Pascual first met when he was still in BoyBand PH.
“I met Iñigo Pascual when I was in BoyBand PH. This was in 2017, coming from BoyBand PH did our first ASAP Performances. Iñigo went into the room and introduced himself to us. Sya, pa yung lumapit sa amin at sabi nya, “hey guys, I’m a fan of your show. I watch you guys. Congratulations.”
Constancia then recalled how he got close with Pascual alongside fellow BoyBand PH alumnus Russel Reyes.
“And then, naging close na kami dahil, it was me and Russel (Reyes) who became close with Iñigo Pascual dahil mga englishero kami, eh. We’re Filipinos born and raised in a different country. So we know the cultural differences here. Yung mga jokes namin, naiitindihan namin.”
Then, Constacia said that he became best friends with Pascual when they started hanging out more.
“Ever since, Iñigo would come by to our house dati, at tumatambay doon and hang out and chill lang. And throughout the years, we started to hang out more, and we became best friends na.”
Constancia also revealed that he would hang out with Pascual during the pandemic.
“During the pandemic, I would go to his house, kasi I moved out na from the BoyBand house. And I moved to a condo, and in this same building, magkapit bahay kasi kami ni Iñigo. So during the pandemic, I would go to his place, hang out there, chill with him. And thank God he was there, kasi mababaliw na ko. Hindi ko na alam gagawin ko dito, ako lang mag-isa eh. Nakikitambay ako don, nakikikain, and ayun we became really close.”
The group BoyBand PH formed on December 11, 2016, after they won ABS-CBN’s reality show Pinoy Boyband Superstar.
As for his solo music career, Constancia released the music video for Pretty Mama written and composed by Iñigo Pascual. The song itself is under CS Music and is available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Deezer, and other digital stores.
