Kapamilya artist Jameson Blake admitted that the ABS-CBN shutdown was alarming but happy about Kapamilya Network getting back on its feet.
During the media conference for iWanTFC’s My Sunset Girl, Jameson recalled how alarmed he felt when ABS-CBN shut down in July 2020.
“Syempre para sa ating lahat it was very alarming for us. And we didn’t know how to act right away.”
He then expressed his relief about the Kapamilya network’s effort to keep going despite losing their franchise.
“Pero, I’m just happy na we still managed to get on our feet. And to keep going kahit papaano.
“And, I can say it naman na throughout the year na we are still trying to do projects and do more shows and everything.
“Try to make the most out of everything. So that’s what I’m proud naman, siguro throughout the year.”
As for his path as a Kapamilya artist, he said he’s happy with everything happening in his acting career and life.
“I’m happy naman with everything that’s happening with my career, sa life. Hindi ko rin ine-expect na I went through a lot na rin. Time flies, talaga. But I’m looking forward to more projects to be better. And ayun to showcase my talent. To keep going, ‘yun na ‘yung goal ko.”
During the ABS-CBN shutdown, Jameson starred in the BL movie, My Lockdown Romance and Loving Emily. He will also star in the upcoming Kapamilya teleserye, Viral.
For now, he stars in the upcoming iWanTFC original series, My Sunset Girl. Alongside her are powerhouse cast, including Charlie Dizon, Mylene Dizon, and Joem Bascon.
Directed by Andoy Ranay and Co-produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and All Blacks Media. My Sunset Girl streams this July 14, 8 PM on the iWantTFC app (iOs and Android) and iwanttfc.com.
