TV host and blogger, James Deakin laughs at a viral ‘ghost wearing face shield’ scene from the GMA Network sitcom Daddy’s Gurl.
On June 30, Deakin reposted the viral post and wondered if it is true. He then labeled it as a troll move and commended GMA Network for making him laugh.
The scene was from the Halloween episode of Daddy’s Gurl in 2020.
In the said episode, Matilda, Wally Bayola’s character, saw a white lady, played by Ina Feleo walking around without a face shield and mask. As she thought that it is just a costume, Matilda handed over a face shield and in the following frame, the white lady was seen wearing a face shield.
The director of the show, Chris Martinez already reacted to the viral post before. He said that it was just an absurd emphasis on how should people and even paranormals adhere to the health protocols due to the pandemic.
Actress Feleo who played the white lady also greeted the fans a Happy Halloween before when the meme created a buzz online.
Daddy’s Gurl is a comedy-themed sitcom so, definitely, there is humor behind that ghost, wearing a face shield. Good thing, viewers ride with the humor that’s why it went viral online.
Daddy’s Gurl is starred by Vic Sotto, Maine Mendoza, Oyo Boy Sotto, and Wally Bayola.
James Deakin is a Fil-British television host and CNN Philippines’s motoring editor. He also has a blog about automotive.
