Kapuso artist Klea Pineda is already expecting JakBie fans would despise her for being paired with Jak Roberto, Barbie Forteza’s boyfriend.
“Inaasahan ko naman na ‘yun! Hahaha!” said Klea during the virtual press conference after she signed her contract renewal with GMA Network, July 21.
Klea and Jak, along with Lauren Young, will top bill the upcoming Kapuso teleserye, Never Say Goodbye.
According to the Kapuso talent, she drew the ire of JakBie fans after a photo of her and Jak surfaced on the internet.
“No’ng may kumalat na photo sa social media na meron kaming selfie together ni Jak. Nung kumalat palang yun, nagwala na yung mga JakBie [fans].”
Though the celebrity couple’s fans hated her, Klea was fine with it since there was actually a story behind the photo.
“Well okay lang naman ‘yon. Siguro kasi for me, hindi nila alam ang story behind the photo, kung para sa’n ba yung picture na ‘yon,” she continued.
Apparently, the photo was taken during the taping of their upcoming series.
“Kasi ang picture na ‘yun para sa eksena. Yun talaga ‘yon. Akala nila nag-selfie lang kami na wala lang, na random lang kaming nag-picture. But ine-expect ko na ‘pag umere na yung show, for sure hindi naman mawawala yun na magagalit sila sa’kin.
“Sa Never Say Goodbye. Yun ‘yung picture na ‘yon. Last scene ‘yon alam ko. Kinunan namin yon no’ng last scene ng Never Say Goodbye, yung pinaka-last na eksena na ginawa namin. Yun ‘yong picture. So inakala siguro nila na random photo lang sa locked-in taping namin,” explained Klea.
The Kapuso artist is also on good terms with Jak’s girlfriend, Barbie. According to Klea, the Kapuso star was amiable and very professional about work.
“Okay naman, friends naman kami ni Barbie. Nagkaka-work kami ng ayos, sa Sunday PinaSaya before.
“Very friendly naman si Barbie, and very approachable din s’ya. At naka-work ko na rin s’ya before.
“Nag-guest ako sa Meant to Be, naka-work ko na s’ya do’n, naka-eksena ko na rin s’ya. Okay naman s’ya, very professional,” revealed Klea.
Klea is also professional and dedicated to her craft as an artist, that receiving the wrath of JakBie fans does not bother her.
She stressed: “Work is work. For me, nagiging professional na lang ako, na trabaho ‘to eh. Hihindi ba’ko sa trabaho dahil sa may magagalit na fans? No. Trabaho ‘to, gagawin ko lang yung work ko.”
Never Say Goodbye is a part of the drama-anthology series Stories from the Heart. Snooky Serna, Herlene “Hipon” Budol, and new Kapuso hunk Luke Conde were members of the cast.
