In a recent media conference hosted by Viva Films for the upcoming comedy-drama movie titled GLUTA; the actress Ella Cruz confesses that she was one of the firsts to judge the front acts of Direk Darryl Yap– which gave her the wrong impressions of the latter.
She admitted that she was even reluctant to take the lead role of the movie that was written and that will then be directed by Yap. The hesitations that she feels are rooted in the controversies of the director’s past works and the abundant amount of negative criticisms the director is getting from all over the social media platforms.
“Alam n’yo nakakatawa, isa siguro ako sa unang humusga kay Direk Darryl through his works.
Nakikita ko ‘yong dedication n’ya to share his stories in a realistic way, in a hubad-na-katotohanan way,” the actress proudly confessed.
She said that she was grateful for the opportunity to really get to know the director personally behind the set and not through the lenses of his works. Cruz courageously called out her mistake of judging the director, who turned out to be the exact opposite of malicious speculations and rumors flying around.
GLUTA will be available on the Vivamax streaming platform starting July 2. Aside from Ella Cruz, the movie will also be starred by Marco Gallo, Rose Van Ginkel, and Juliana Pariscova Segovia.
