Kapamilya love team Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano recalled what they lost and feared during the ABS-CBN shutdown.
During the blog conference for He’s Into Her finale, Pangilinan recalled what he felt during the ABS-CBN shutdown. However, he remains hopeful of the network’s return.
“It felt like a bad dream the day that it happened. Di ba, pandemic tapos add on naman this, but we always remain hopeful. We’re a family; We’re supportive of one another; We’re there for each other.
“And, I believe babalik I’m really remaining positive and hopeful na more people need to ano eh know what is going on in life. A lot of people felt stripped from their happiness, their everyday joy. So ayun lang, I really hope na babalik tayo, and we will still remain strong no matter what.”
Mariano said she feared losing the projects she had lined up when the network shut down.
“Well, of course, when I found out na po na nawala ‘yung ABS-CBN, of course, I felt sad. And natakot rin po ako. I don’t think it just applies to me. I think that applies with everyone.
“Na natakot ako if hindi matuloy ‘yung He’s Into Her nga po. What if hindi matuloy ‘yung mga nakalatag na projects. But ‘you know I’m still hopeful and ‘yun naman ‘yung mga Kapamilya eh. Kapamilya tayo, were here, we’re all hoping, and we’re all together here just hoping and waiting na mabalik ‘yung ABS-CBN.”
Pangilinan and Mariano are the newest love team launched by the Kapamilya network before the pandemic and its shutdown.
They also reacted to people labeling them as the next big love team due to the success of their series.
“Basically, just by supporting each other, feeling ko ‘yun talaga ‘yung key kung paano namin naha-handle ‘yung pressure. Supporting each other and just being there,” said Mariano.
“Kung ano ‘yung nakikita n’yo ‘yun lang kami. And, I think, tama si Belle, supportive lang kami sa isa’t isa. Honestly, we are very overwhelmed with the support. We feel humbled by the support,” Pangilinan added.
He’s Into Her broke records on iWanTFC and became one of the highest viewed series on the platform. Aside from this, the kilig scenes between Pangilinan and Mariano consistently trended online each week.
And now, He’s Into Her season finale drops on Friday, July 30, on iWanTFC. Fans of the series will also have the chance to join in with the show’s online concert, He’s Into Her: The Benison Ball, on August 6.
The series first aired in May 2021, and its first season had ten episodes. Headwriter Vanessa R. Valdez expressed hopes of the show’s second season.
“All of us here want a second season and are hoping that there’s going to be a second season. We encourage the fans to pray for that.”
