Piolo Pascual’s loyalty to ABS-CBN is questionable. Is his loyalty to the network just a put-on?
Many fans noticed that Pascual is becoming unpredictable when it comes to his support for the Kapamilya network amid its unfortunate shutdown.
“I never left… I am a Kapamilya through and through.”
These were the words of the 44-year-old Pascual, who pledged his allegiance to his home network anew when he got interviewed by Cinemanews.

Pascual was one among the Kapamilya artists rumored to transfer to other networks.
It was notable that he stopped having live performances on ASAP Natin ‘To following his hosting stint for Brightlight Productions’ Sunday Noontime Live, which aired on TV5 last year.
Amid the rumors, Pascual showed his appreciation for the Kapamilya viewers who continued their support.
“Kapamilya, thank you for continuing to let us into your homes through all the different available platforms.”
“As we face a lot of hardships and difficulties this last year, your support and your trust will always be an inspiration for us to continue to be in the service of the Filipino.
“Maraming salamat po, I’ll see you soon,” Pascual said in a pre-recorded video.
However, his statements have caused others to raise their eyebrows as others claimed that some of his actions did not match with his words.
On Monday, July 6, 2020, Pascual gained controversy when he, together with Joyce Bernal and other friends, went to Sagada to shoot for the upcoming SONA of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The trip was ill-timed for ABS-CBN was fighting for its franchise renewal at that time and support from its Kapamilya artists and employees is highly needed.
The actor reacted to this news and explained that it has got nothing to do with his political stand.
He mentioned that he went to Sagada with Bernal and Illac Diaz to help the director get video footage for the SONA showing how the environment had changed positively.
Currently, Pascual is starring in Netflix’s new movie, My Amanda, opposite Alessandra De Rossi.
The film is about two lifelong friends catching up with each other’s lives. It premiered on July 15.
