Director Andoy Ranay of the upcoming iWantTFC series My Sunset Girl share their thoughts as ABS-CBN will soon mark its first anniversary without a franchise this July 10.
The House of Representatives (HoR), on July 10, 2020, voted to reject the network’s franchise renewal bid with a vote of 70-11.
However, ABS-CBN continues to survive amid the pandemic, and being without a franchise, Blake is proud that the Kapamilya network is still serving the Filipino people.
My Sunset Girl director, Direk Andoy took the time to express the reason he stayed with the Network despite some of his colleagues already switched networks.
“The reason why I stayed and continue serving with ABS-CBN is [that] I believe the content that ABS-CBN is producing no matter what—may franchise o wala—is world-class quality,” he reasoned.
For the director, ABS-CBN, with or without a franchise is very meticulous in providing quality content to its viewers. He has taken to himself to continue emanating the Network’s slogan: “To be in the service of the Filipino.
“Aanhin mo ang franchise kung basura naman yung trabaho. I mean parang mas masarap na lang magtrabaho kahit bawas ang sweldo, kahit hindi laging may trabaho.
“Pero alam mo na quality na trabaho ang maibibigay mo sa audience mo. I know, in the service of the Filipino, we have responsibilities to our audience. Kaya yun ang ibibigay natin, hanggang dulo, magkasama tayo.”
Catch My Sunset Girl starting July 14. It will be available on the iWantTFC app (iOs and Android) and via iwanttfc.com.
