Alonzo was with ABS-CBN from 2002 to its pre-free TV shutdown of last year.

A Love to Last (2017).
A Love to Last was Alonzo’s last Kapamilya teleserye, before moving to GMA Network in 2021.
She got paired with the ’90s heartthrob, Ian Veneracion, and starred along with Iza Calzado. She received a Best Actress nomination from PMPC Star Awards for TV.
A Second Chance (2015).
Following the record-breaking success of A Second Chance–she and John Lloyd Cruz were named 2015’s Phenomenal Box Office Stars.
The film is the sequel to the mammoth 2007-hit, One More Chance. It became the highest-grossing Filipino film and maintained its status until the 2016 family-comedy, The Super Parental Guardians broke its record.
A Second Chance film marked the last time Alonzo and Cruz paired in a movie. For her compelling performance–she received the top accolade for a lead female actress from the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) in 2016.
Four Sisters and A Wedding (2014).
A certified cult favorite, Four Sisters and A Wedding brought together four of ABS-CBN’s most prized leading ladies—Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, Shaina Magdayao, and Bea Alonzo.
She received a best actress nomination from FAMAS Awards for her portrayal of Bobbie Salazar in the film.
It Might Be You (2004).
This series marked the second time Alonzo and Cruz starring as lead roles on a TV series.
It came on the heels of the unexpected success of Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, where the onscreen tandem first came to viewers’ attention.
The series revolved around young sweethearts–Lawrence (Cruz) and Cielo (Cielo) as they hurdled the challenges of their budding romance, including the harrowing realities of their families.
Kay Tagal Kang Hinitay (2003).
Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay was initially not intended as Cruz and Alonzo’s first teleserye, but ultimately became so when public attention shifted to their characters’ developing romance.
One of ABS-CBN’s most successful soap operas in the early 2000s, the plot of the series revolved around mother, Lorrinda Guinto (Lorna Tolentino) and her son, Yuri (John Lloyd Cruz). The series unexpectedly paved the way for Cruz and Alonzo’s onscreen partnership to soar, and become their Network’s biggest stars.
Maging Sino Ka Man (2007).
This ensemble series served as Cruz and Alonzo’s fourth primetime soap.
It became wildly popular during its run and ultimately emerged as the ABS-CBN’s most successful teleseryes in the late 2000s.
The series received a widespread following for its campy scenes and intense dramatic confrontations. The series also had Anne Curtis-Smith and Sam Milby as their co-lead stars. Alonzo’s role, Jackie, earned her a best actress nomination from the PMPC Awards for TV in 2007. Because of the success of the show, a second season with additional lead cast members, premiered the following year.
Magkaribal (2011).
Probably the most talked-about fashion drama on Philippine television, Magkaribal, where Alonzo got pitted with Gretchen Barretto in the title roles.
The show is regarded as the first-of-its-kind, as it marked the first time a Filipino soap opera’s main plot revolved around fashion. Its campy confrontations delighted audiences, and mind-blowing performances by its ensemble cast wowed various industry critics.
Alonzo received another best actress nomination from PMPC for her role in the series.
Miss You Like Crazy (2011).
Alonzo’s fourth full-length Star Cinema film, Miss You Like Crazy, was among the highest-grossing Filipino films in 2011.
She got awarded the film actress of the year trophy by the Box Office Entertainment Awards for her role in the film. It had a re-release in its restored, full-digital version in June this year.
One More Chance (2007).
One More Chance earned Bea Alonzo her first Box Office Queen title.
She received nominations from various award-giving bodies, including the Film Academy of Motion Arts and Sciences in the Philippines (FAMAS), the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC), and the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) for her singular performance in the film.
One More Chance remains today, a cult favorite among rom-com lovers.
The Mistress (2013).
This film’s mammoth box-office haul made Alonzo earn her second Box Office Queen crown.
Positively received by many film critics and earned her best actress nominations from various award-giving bodies. It also served as the fourth film where she and her long-time onscreen partner, John Lloyd Cruz played as lead roles.
During her entire Kapamilya stint, she starred in 25 full-length films, most of which under Star Cinema, and on at least 10 TV dramas.
She also appeared on various ABS-CBN drama anthologies, sitcoms, and musical variety shows. She received two Box-Office Queen titles and one Phenomenal Box Office Star title from the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF)Box Office Awards. She also had one recording album under Star Music.
