GMA Network’s flagship news program 24 Oras is now the most-watched TV program according to AGB Nielsen NUTAM.
The news program earned ratings of 19.1% and 17.5% on July 19 and 20, respectively, making it the most-watched program on free TV.
24 Oras showed consistency in viewership and audience share as it continues to top the rating board.
The said program used to be in second place against the previously-concluded Kapuso series First Yaya. The Kapuso series consistently topped the chart throughout its airing, besting out other programs from all networks.
The ranking, however, got changed when First Yaya got replaced by The World Between Us.
Last week, TWBU earned its record-low ratings with around 12%-14% for two consecutive days. At the same time, the closest rating between it and its rival show FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano of ABS-CBN was also recorded.
Nevertheless, GMA Network programs still reign in terms of viewership and audience share. As expected, considering its wider reach compared to ABS-CBN after its shutdown, Kapuso programs can easily top the rating chart.
