Xian Lim is the next Kapamilya to transfer to the GMA Network according to speculations.
Although Lim and Viva Artists Agency have no confirmation on anything yet, the buzz on ABS-CBN artists shifting networks is nothing new in the industry.
Kapamilyas switching networks became more prominent as the ABS-CBN network currently has no franchise after Congress denied its franchise application back in July 2020.
Some Kapamilya stars who already transferred to the Kapuso network are Khalil Ramos, Beauty Gonzalez and Pokwang.
The 31-year-old actor and Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado might work together in a drama series.
Xian Lim’s latest project with ABS-CBN was Love Thy Woman, back in 2020. He went back to free television via TV5’s weekend game show, 1000 Heart Beats: Pintig Pinoy, which premiered on March 20.
He also starred in the films Everything About Her (2016), Dear Other Self (2017), and Miss Granny (2018).
He was a part of ABS-CBN’s talent management arm, Star Magic, from 2008-2017 until he signed a contract with Viva in January 2018.
With his new agency, he starred in several films under Viva Films like Hanggang Kailan (2019), Untrue (2020), Love the Way U Lie (2020), and Parang Kayo Pero Hindi (2021).
