After making numerous changes, will GMA Network make some last-minute changes with the biggest action-adventure “Lolong” just like what they did in Heartful Café?
Last Monday (May 31), the Kapuso Network revealed a teaser showing big crocodile ‘Lolong.’
There are rumors that it is subject to change just like “Heartful Café,” which was supposed to be aired on GTV but landed on GMA Telebabad. Lolong’s time slot is scheduled to be on the weekends, but with it being the biggest action-adventure yet, it may be changed as well.
It’s been a while since we saw an action-adventure show on GMA Telebabad.

As early as pre-pandemic, GMA Network has revealed that the series, which was inspired by one of the largest crocodiles in the world, Lolong, was already preparing its story and cast. The Kapuso network originally cast Ruru Madrid, Sanya Lopez, and Kim Domingo to top-bill the series.
However it was altered since Sanya, who is now having her first lead role in the rom-com teleserye, “First Yaya” was the reason why in October 2020, the Network announced Shaira as the lead actress in the upcoming action-adventure show.
The show started its production in November 2020 but once again, it was changed due to the pandemic and numerous ECQ restrictions, delaying its taping. Lolong was supposed to resume its shooting after the Holy Week this 2021.
However, it didn’t push through due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases for the month of April, with the agency tasked to mitigate the coronavirus announcing that there will be no shooting for a while.
Now, the production for the series has resumed its operation. But before Ruru and Shaira get to team up in Lolong, the two first worked together in an episode of the GMA Telebabad, “I Can See You: On My Way to You” in preparation for their tandem in Lolong.
So, will Lolong have the same fate as Heartful Café? We hope so.
