Kapamilya host-comedian Vice Ganda didn’t deny that he is hurting whenever he reads netizens’ criticisms against their noontime show It’s Showtime.
Recently, the hashtag #ReformatItsShowtime gained ground on Twitter with netizens commenting about the current condition of the noontime show.
Meanwhile, during his interview with Summit Media, Vice was asked for his comment on netizens bashing It’s Showtime saying that it’s getting boring and looking more like a talk show than a variety show.
According to Vice, he’s saddened by the comments and criticisms regarding the current situation of the show.
“Masakit kapag may naririnig ka na mga okray kasi they only presume and assume, but they don’t understand what’s going on.
Vice added that he himself demands changes with the show since as an artist new segments or any changes will bring excitement to the hosts.
“As an artist, nae-excite ka sa ginagawa mo so nagde-demand din ako.”
However, Vice explained that with the current pandemic situation and the problem with the ABS-CBN franchise, it became harder for the production staff to immediately implement the changes that they want and that the netizens demand.
“Kaya lang, to be fair sa staff, since nagkaroon ng pandemic ‘tapos nawalan ng franchise ang ABS-CBN, alam naman nating lahat na ang daming na-retrench.
“So iyong manpower ng bawat program, lumiit.
Pero kahit hirap na hirap, we are still trying to deliver what we are supposed to deliver.”
Vice then acknowledges viewers’ sentiments saying the production staff is doing their best to address people’s concerns.
“It is right that we listen to the viewers. Every now and then, we listen to them, alam naman namin iyong constructive criticisms na ibinibigay nila, we acknowledge that.
“But to be fair also with the staff and with the show, even before there was clamor already, nakikita na namin iyon.”
Just recently, one of Its Showtime’s crews engaged netizens on Twitter with regards to their constructive criticisms.
The Staff assured the loyal madlang people that they hear their cries and they listen to their comments and suggestions.
yes, we listen. abangan this june! 🤗
