Ex-PBB: Connect housemate Andrea Abaya is set to get paired up with Kapuso Star Joaquin Domagoso as they top-bill the film Caught in the Act.
Abaya is the second big placer in PBB: Connect wherein Liofer Pinatacan was declared as the Big Winner.
In an interview with Star Magic’s Inside News–the rising star explained that the film is about a group of teens who developed an app to catch criminals. The group would soon be in trouble as they witnessed a crime that involved the police force.
“Supposedly this app is to catch crimes and report it directly to the police. However, the person involved in the crime they witnessed was the police as well, kaya hinant down sila and hinabol sila ng mga syndicate na ‘yon,” said Abaya.
The film Caught in the Act, announced on May 29 at a media conference with director Perry Escaño. Abaya will co-star alongside GMA artist and son of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Joaquin Domagoso.
Abaya said that she’s excited for her debut film saying, “This will help me become more flexible when it comes to acting and that is one of the things that I am looking forward doing this project.”
Before she got paired with Domagoso, the 19-year-old newbie actress is being eyed to be in a love team with her fellow PBB: Connect housemate Kobie Brown.
Brown emerged as the third big placer in PBB. The two had natural chemistry while they were still inside the PBB house and Brown has previously mentioned that he would pick Abaya as his love team.
On the other hand, Domagoso is in a love team with Cassy Legaspi, the daughter of Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi.
Abaya recently joined Dreamscape Entertainment’s The Squad Plus along with Kobie Brown, Haira Palaguitto, and Kyron Aguilera.
