Actor Rafael Rosell finally got a project in ABS-CBN after waiting for two years.
Rosell will play a part in ABS-CBN’s drama series, Huwag Kang Mangamba. There, he will play an important piece about the past of mayoral candidate, Miguel Advincula (RK Bagatsing).
Rosell, a returning Kapamilya talent, was re-acquired by ABS-CBN in 2019 from GMA Network for a family-love series Kahit Minsan Lang. It starred Bea Alonzo and Richard Gutierrez and was produced by Star Creatives.
Unfortunately, Alonzo backed out from the teleserye due to the “taping condition”. As a result, in 2020, Star Creatives announced that Kahit Minsan Lang will no longer push through.
Meanwhile, Alonzo’s leading man, Gutierrez, became a special guest in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. In the longest-running action-drama starring Coco Martin, he plays the villain Lito.
Rosell’s other co-actors in the now-shelved series, Jameson Blake and Christian Bables, both had their respective projects.
Rosell started his acting career back in 2000 when he became a model for a toothpaste commercial. That same year, he also signed with ABS-CBN’s Star Magic.
In 2002, he landed his first lead role in the movie, Kung Ikaw Ay Isang Panaginip. He got his first big break in 2004 when he was paired with Claudine Barretto in the Kapamilya fantaserye Marina.
But in 2012, Rosell decided to switch to another network and landed a role in the Kapuso show Temptation of Wife together with Marian Rivera.
He returned to ABS-CBN in 2019 and had his comeback show on the Network via an episode in Ipaglaban Mo!
