Megastar Sharon Cuneta clapped back at her bashers who called foul at her tequila body shot with Marco Gumabao scene for their upcoming movie Revirginized.
Revirginized follows the story of Carmela (Cuneta) who is trying to rediscover her youth. The film is directed by Darryl Yap and is set to release in August. She co-stars with Marco Gumabao.
Photos of the Megastar doing the tequila body shot on Gumabao trended online. In the photos, the 55-year-old Cuneta is seen doing body shots on her younger leading man. Gumabao is only 26 years old.
While some Netizens expressed their excitement and support for the film, others found the scene to be disgusting as they turned to bash Cuneta.
The actress gave her response to her bashers through a lengthy Instagram post. She said that she did not care about her bashers because she loves her character and is proud of herself.
She thanked Direk Darryl and her leading man for allowing her to experience the things she never thought she would do like a woman who is already in her 50s.
“In the end, no matter how our movie does or what people say, I will still ALWAYS LOVE CARMELA, my character in ‘Revirginized.’
“Thank you for her, Direk Daryll. Thank you Marco my Pawi – though short, really sweet – for helping me to relive my 20s in our scenes.
“Thank you, dearest CARMELA – my alter-ego/“Sasha Fierce” – for taking me on an adventure unlike any I could have ever imagined I would be going on in my 50s! I’m a gaddam good ACTOR and darn PROUD OF IT!”

She also said that people would only get a say in her acts if they already reached her age and beauty.
“At sa mga bashers, pag 55 na kayo at malapit lapit ang itchura n’yo sa akin ngayon, chaka lang kayo magkaka-K mandiri! Yuck kayo! Hahahahaha!”
Sharon Cuneta is known for being vocal in her opinion and for clapping back at her bashers. She previously dedicated a YouTube vlog to her bashers.
She also called her bashers ‘children of Satan’ when they said that the actress is already outdated.
