SB19’s Pablo with the help of his co-members, acquired a new set of attributes to help him with his career.
In a virtual media conference for ABS-CBN’s reality-variety TV show, Aja! Aja! Tayo sa Jeju, Pablo, the leader, lead vocalist, and main rapper of the popular five-man group, shared the traits he learned from his co-members to thrive in the music industry.
He admitted that he had a small circle of friends since he is an introvert. However, one of the co-members, Stell (Stellvester Ajero), helped him get out of his comfort zone. Since being part of a popular group, Pablo knew that he had to be comfortable around other people. With Stell’s friendly vibe, SB19’s leader must become one as well.
“Ako kasi introvert ako. Hindi ako mahilig makipag-usap sa mga tao. Pero si Stell very humble, very friendly. Talagang pag may nakita siyang bagong tao kakausapin niya agad talaga.
“Yun ‘yung isa sa mga trait na na-adapt ko galing kay Stell na nagagamit ko. Kasi ‘pag artist ka you need to entertain ng mga tao. So you have to be able to approach first. Para mas maengganyo sila sa’yo,” shared Pablo.
He, with the help of Ken (Felip Jhon Suson), learned how to build a wall for his feelings. He described the attitude of his co-member as “not giving a damn about anything.”
“Nakuha ko yun sa kanya. So kung may criticisms or anything na mafi-feel bad ako, yun yung one thing na nakuha ko na trait.”
When it comes to being organized and systematic, his go-to guy is Justin (Justin De Dios) since he usually handles SB19’s paperwork.
Meanwhile, when it’s about wits, Josh (Josh Cullen Santos) is the ideal man, according to Pablo.
“Kay Josh naman very madiskarte. Kapag may bagay akong kailangan para mas makamura, itatanong ko kay Josh. O kaya kung ano ang dapat gawin para mas mapabuti ang isang bagay.”
Aside from Pablo, Stell, another SB19 member–they are grateful that their training in Korean taught them to become patient.
Stell said, “Naging malaking impact yung natutunan namin na humaba ang pasensya namin. Kasi sa ganitong career, meron tayong makikilalang tao [o] makakatrabaho na susubok sa pasensya mo, sa pagkatao mo, at sa paniniwala sa bagay-bagay.
“Katulad namin na grupo. Iba-iba kami ng character, ng paniniwala. Pero syempre grupo kami at kailangan naming intindihin at unawain ang isa’t-isa.”
Coming soon this June, SB19 will be with the Ajakada of Donny Pangilinan, Kristel Fulgar, Shine Kuk, and Robi Domingo–they prepare a huge concert for the Filipino community on Jeju Island for the finale of Aja! Aja! Tayo sa Jeju.
