Award-winning multimedia actress Nadine Lustre could face contempt charges if she would push through with her virtual concert.
That is the opinion of Atty. Ferdie Topacio, a self-confessed Nadine Lustre-fan.
In the article by Jojo Gabinete, Topacio expressed concerns over Nadine’s plan to push with her Absolute Madness virtual concert saying it may constitute contempt of court following the recent ruling on Viva’s case against her.
“Contempt of court kapag itinuloy ni Nadine ang concert niya.”
Topacio also shared that even the concert sponsors may be included in the contempt charges once the virtual concert will push through as planned.
“Pati yung mga sponsor ng concert, pwedeng madamay dahil pwede silang mademanda for tortious interference with a contract.
“Contempt of court ‘yun. P’wede siyang ma-fine, pwedeng makulong.
“Depende sa court kung magkano ang fine, pero p’wedeng makulong si Nadine up to thirty days.”
Meanwhile, in her recent statement following the court’s ruling, Lustre stressed her focus on the concert to give her supporters good entertainment.
“I remain focused on giving good entertainment at this time as my contribution to everyone’s sound mental health,” she said.
Her lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan also said that the concert will push through as they will be filing a motion for reconsideration.
“Tuloy ang concert. We will file a motion for reconsideration,” said Kapunan.
A Quezon City Court has recently granted Viva’s plea against Lustre.
The court orders the Viva star to honor and uphold its standing contract with the Viva Artist Agency. It also barred her from accepting any projects or endorsements without Viva’s consent and participation.
