Following speculations that former Kapamilya executives Johnny Manahan, a.k.a. Mr. M and Mariole Alberto’s transfer to GMA Network is already a done deal. This will be a game-changer for the Kapuso network.
Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin was the first to confirm that Alberto already followed Mr. M in the Kapuso network.
According to Fermin, she received a message from the talent manager Dolor Guevarra, and confirmed that Mariole has already jumped ship.
“Nag-text si Tita Dolor Guevarra…Tayo ang naka-una du’n sa k’wento na nasa GMA Artist Center na si Ms. Mariole Alberto na talaga namang nagpasikat sa maraming artista ng ABS-CBN sa pamamagitan ng Star Magic, ‘di ba? Sila ni Mr. M, Johnny Manahan,” she said
PEP.ph in one of its articles also confirmed Alberto’s transfer to GMA Network’s Artist Center citing sources from Kapuso management.
While there are no details yet as to what role Alberto will be playing in GMAAC, it is certain that she will be part of the Kapuso network’s talent management arm.
In the same article, PEP also reported that the former Kapamilya comedienne Pokwang will be introduced as a new GMAAC artist soon. Pokwang was a former Star Magic artist under Mr. M and Ms. Alberto.
With ABS-CBN still without a franchise, and many of its artists still jobless–it will be expected that Alberto will bring in some more Star Magic artists like Pokwwang to GMAAC once she commences work.
Star Magic is known for building the careers of the country’s most awarded and sought-after stars.
With her bringing her former job in ABS-CBN to GMA Network, expect a huge change in the Kapuso talent management arm.
