TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan is confident that the Kapatid Network will finally realize profitability in the year 2024.
In his recent statement, MVP shared his gladness that TV5 is currently doing well in terms of revenue and ratings.
“TV5 is doing well,” he said.
Pangilinan mentioned that the block time deal with Brighlight Production which brought Kapamilya shows to TV5 has been contributing well to the Network.
TV5 started airing Kapamilya shows in January 2021 with ASAP Natin ‘To and FPJ: Da King as its initial offering. It was then followed by Kapamilya primetime teleseryes in March, which helped more in boosting Kapatid Network’s TV ratings.
TV5 and ABS-CBN’s partnership was a trailblazing collaboration in the Philippine TV industry.
Although at first MVP was hesitant with the idea given the politics involved, he then changed tune later on and give it a try which proved to be beneficial for both networks.
Meanwhile, aside from Kapamilya shows airing on TV5, the Network’s revitalized entertainment programming is slowly gaining ground.
Its primetime series Niña Niño and the variety show Sing Galing are doing well in the rating game as they consistently land in the top 20 most-watched weekday programs.
Currently, Niña Niño ranked 15th, while Sing Galing holds the 17th position on the AGB Nielsen rating leaderboard.
