Kapamilya broadcast journalist Karen Davila has personally asked Senator Manny Pacquiao’s reaction to the bashing she gets after her controversial college degree remark.
In a special feature for her vlog on YouTube, Karen Davila toured Sen. Manny Pacquiao’s home to coincide with the Father’s Day celebration.
During the said tour, Davila personally asked Pacquiao’s reaction to the heavy bashing she got following her controversial interview with the Senator; when she inquired about the boxing champ turned politician’s college degree.
“Habang nandito na tayo sagutin na natin ang tinatanong ng mga netizens. Juskolord and tindi ng bashing ha na natanggap ko dun sa ahmm college degree issue na yun ha,” said Karen.
Pacquiao then can’t help but laugh a little with a comment “Sobra naman yun!”
Karen then replied “Oh ayan na, sobra yun, uhmm narinig nyo!”
Pacquiao then shared that he already finished his college degree and currently taking up a master’s degree in Public Administration at the Philippine Christian University.
In 2019, Karen was heavily criticized by netizens for her allegedly being rude and unprofessional in asking Pacquiao about his college degree.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, during that time said in a statement that he was never offended by Davila’s questioning and asked netizens to stop the hate and stop attacking her because she’s only doing her job as a broadcast journalist.
“I was never offended by her manner of questioning. Isa po siyang batikan sa larangan ng broadcasting at trabaho po niya na magbigay ng mabibigat na tanong sa taong kanyang ini-interview.”
