John Arcilla’s character in one Kapuso series is so powerful that he still gets recognized for it despite doing a project in the Kapamilya network today.
The actor currently portrays the character of Renato Hipolito which is a villainous role in the long-running series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (FPJAP).
Despite his iconic villain role in FPJAP, the actor still got recognized for his role as Hagorn in GMA network’s Encantadia.
Hagorn was one of the enemies in the said Kapuso series. The series aired from 2016-2017.
In an Instagram post by Arcilla, he shared a comment of a netizen who recognized him as Hagorn.

“Sir wag nyo na po kaming lokohin, alam na namin. Ikaw si Hagorn,” the netizen wrote along with smiling emojis.
The actor replied saying that the netizen shouldn’t expose him because it might be ABS-CBN executive Cory Vidanes who will shoot him instead of FPJAP protagonist Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin).
“Shhhhh secret natin yan. Baka si Tita Cory Vidanes ang bumaril sakin at hindi si Cardo Dalisay pag nalaman yan,” Arcilla wrote along with smiling and peace sign emoji.
In the latest episodes of FPJAP, the group of Hipolito continues their chase to Dalisay and his Task Force Agila group.
Arcilla recently had funny interactions with his FPJAP fans as netizens would often poke fun at his character.
One netizen wished that the actor would also chase her too saying, “Habulin mo nga din ako Mr. Hipolito!
“Sana all hinahabol.”
When other netizens asked how his thugs, appeared as if they were limitless, the actor quipped that it’s because he continuously calls for backup.
Recently, FPJAP broke its own live viewership record on Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube for eight consecutive nights.
The show drew a new peak of 154,039 live concurrent viewers, smashing the show’s own YouTube record for an eight consecutive night and eleventh overall.
