Once again, the airing date of the GMA Network’s upcoming series Legal Wives was rescheduled.
Legal Wives starring Dennis Trillo, Alice Dixson, Andrea Torres, and Bianca Umali, is one of GMA Network’s newest offerings for 2021.
As early as January, the network has released a teaser of the said series for its upcoming release.
On May 28, the Facebook page of Legal Wives announced that the series will replace First Yaya.
Recently, they started a countdown to the airing of Legal Wives as it is expected to air on June 21.
Unfortunately, a week before its expected airing, the FB page announced that Legal Wives will not air on the said date.
On June 21, Monday, head writer Suzette Doctolero apologized to the Kapuso fans who are waiting for the series’s airing.
She pointed out the struggle of TV production caused by the pandemic and they wanted to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
The production wanted to finish taping all episodes before officially releasing them. Because of the situation of the country, they were not able to finish their taping and they are still waiting for the right time before resuming it.
Despite the unwanted circumstances, Doctolero assured that they will use this time to improve their show and aim to deliver it to the viewers as soon as possible.
Before, once an airing date is announced, a show will definitely be released on that date. But, because of the pandemic, there are a lot of things that should be considered by production so, the airing date of shows is sometimes postponed.
Legal Wives is about the story of a Maranao man played by Trillo and his legal marriage to three wives. In the Islamic law court, polygamy is legal so, Muslim men can have up to four wives as long as the first wife agrees and he can sustain their needs.
