Finally, after 20 years, John Lloyd Cruz is now a Kapuso!
The Shopee 6.6 Mid-Year Sale TV Special on Sunday, June 6, was made extra special as GMA Network officially welcomed John Lloyd, marking the actor’s comeback after four years of hiatus.
During the event, the award-winning actor took time to express his gratitude to Willie Revillame, who paved the way for his TV comeback.
The actor also showed his trembling hands as he turned emotional. He also said that he is thrilled to be back.
GMA Films president Annette Gozon Valdes celebrated John Lloyd’s shift to GMA Network after 20 years of delay.
Kapuso celebrities Yasmien Kurdi and Mikoy Morales also joined in welcoming the actor by sending their love via ‘red heart’ emojis.
Talent manager Noel Ferrer also expressed his admiration for the actor.
Jennylyn Mercado, who was also present during the 6.6 TV special, welcomed the actor to GMA Network.

Jennylyn and John Lloyd worked together in the 2016 film, Just the Three of Us.
Willie previously teased that they are preparing for a TV series starring John Lloyd and Andrea Torres.
Meanwhile, Maja Salvador is also present in the said event as an audience. John Lloyd Cruz is managed by Crown Artist Management, which is owned by Maja and Rambo Nuñez.
