Korean actress Han So-hee became known for the Korean adaptation World of the Married. But now, she stars in the Netflix series Nevertheless. That said, what can the audience expect about her role in the series?
In the press conference for the series, So-hee said she’s a fan of the webtoon series that started Nevertheless.
“Well, I am a huge fan of the original webtoon series. And like producer Kim said, I feel like this series focused on the emotions that anyone goes through when you find yourself in love.”
So-hee described Nevertheless as a completely different type of romance compared to World of the Married.
“And I also felt that this is a completely different type of romance, and as an actress, I felt like this is /a great opportunity for me. I wanted to do something like this. Playing a role like this as an actress at my age.”
Series producer Kim Ga-ram also revealed that Han So-hee got handpicked for the role alongside her co-star Song Kang.
“Actually, I didn’t put that much time into picking out the cast because when I read the original webtoon, I just thought about So-hee and Song Kang.
“I really thought of them when I first saw the webtoon. So, I really tried hard to cast the two. ‘Cause they’re the hottest rising stars, and they’re very/ busy. And, I had to ask them multiple times to work together with me on this series. Thankfully both of them really liked the webtoon.”
So-hee and Song Kang star in the 10-episode Netflix series,
Nevertheless. Based on a webtoon, the story follows Yu Na-bi and Park Jae-eon. The two have different ideas about dating and commitment. However, they are still drawn to each other.
Its first episode premieres on June 20 at midnight, Philippine time with new episodes every Saturday, only on Netflix!
