Fans of “I Told Sunset About You” lauded newest streaming app POPTV for doing a great job in localizing the hit Thai series for the first time in the Philippines.
A few moments after Nadao Bangkok, the producer of the said series, posted on its social media accounts the official trailer from POPTV, fans instantly tweeted their positive feedback and commended how well the voice actors gave life to the characters of Teh and Oh-aew played by Thai actors Billkin Putthipong at PP Krit.
“The voice actors suit the characters well. OMG they did such a great job!” said @8ngels.
“Ang ganda ng pagkaka-dub! Iba yung feels” added @squishyhaohao.
“The time OST played I became teary. The dubbing is perfect. So good. The dubbers delivered it so well,” tweeted @erikaxbw.
“OMG! Mas nadama ko yung sakit. Pilipinong Pilipino yung sakit,” shared @yos_Joooms.
Even writer, spoken word artist, and known BL fan Juan Miguel Severo commended POPTV’s trailer and dubbing on his Twitter account.
“We are very happy that fans warmly received the Filpino-dubbed ITSAY. We are aware that there are high expectations when it comes to dubbing, that’s why we really took it seriously and did our best to give justice to this beautifully done series,” said POPTV COO Jackeline Chua.
“Our team closely studied the requirements such as script translations, voice quality and acting of the characters, and we were very hands-on in the selection of the voice actors,” she explained. “We also immersed ourselves into different fan groups of ITSAY to further understand their preferences and what they love in the show.”
