Actress-turned-politician Alma Moreno chose to remain mum after being accused of escaping from a 40k electrical bill arrears.
Theresa Grenard, a condo unit owner, appeared on Raffy Tulfo in Action on June 3 to raise her complaint against Moreno.
According to Grenard, at first, she was hesitant to let Moreno rent her condo because of the pandemic and the restrictions of Azure Residences. However, due to Moreno’s persistent request and since the actress is her sibling’s employer, she eventually agreed.
Their first agreement is that Moreno will stay in the said condo unit for only one month, but the actress stayed for six months. Yet, she only paid the rent for the first month, and in the following months, Grenard lost her communication with Moreno.
Until March 9, when they visited the condo unit, Moreno is not around anymore, plus the electric and water connections were all cut off.
They also discovered that the electrical bill arrears of the unit reached 40,000.
Grenard asked Moreno to pay the electrical bill, disregarding her rent charges. However, the unit owner asserted that the actress has no plans of paying the bill.
Raffy Tulfo’s team tried to reach Moreno’s party, but she refused to explain her side on air.
The actress wanted to talk to Tulfo personally, but the latter does not want to unless Grenard could listen.
Moreno then claimed that she has no liabilities from Grenard: “Alam ng Diyos na wala akong ginagawang masama. Alam ng Diyos ‘yan kaya hindi ko kailangang mag-explain sa inyo.”
Grenard, compelled to pay the bill since she felt that Moreno is not willing to pay it.
She also revealed that her sibling (Moreno’s employee) got angry because she rushed to Tulfo to complain.
Moreno became part of Darryl Yap’s comedy-drama film Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar, which premiered via Vivamax in January this year. She also ran for a senatorial seat during the 2016 elections but failed to enter the Magic 12.
