After signing up a contract with Willie Revillame’s production, the announcement of John Lloyd Cruz’s return after a five-year hiatus from showbiz made big waves on social media. The actor is now in talks for two Kapuso network shows.
On Chika Minute‘s report by Audrey Carampel via 24 Oras on June 15, it revealed that Cruz has two possible TV shows in the works on GMA network.
Currently, he’s coordinating with the GMA executives, particularly with GMA Films president and the Network’s programming consultant to the chairman, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.
Cruz had a meeting with the latter and Edgar ‘Bobot’ Mortiz, where they planned the television shows the actor will star on the GMA Network. The two shows are expected to get released in the last quarter of the year.
On her Instagram, Gozon-Valdes posted a photo with the actor.
She wrote: “At last nagkita na kami. Exciting times ahead! Abangan!”

The actor also talked with the vice president for program management Joey Abacan, and the latter is looking forward to working with the actor.
Abacan wrote on his Instagram post: “As what @annettegozonvaldes has said… exciting times ahead indeed! @johnlloydcruz83 #excited”

Last month, an announcement of an upcoming sitcom that will feature Revillame as one of the stars and as a producer the show will air on GMA Network. Cruz will also star with Kapuso actress Andrea Torres.
During the early 2000s, Cruz had the chance to work with the Kapuso network’s horror-fantasy series Kakabakaba.
