Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo revealed that he is supposed to do a project with John Lloyd Cruz, who is making his TV comeback via the GMA network.
After signing a contract with Willie Revillame’s WBR Entertainment Productions Corporation, Cruz is set to be in a sitcom along with Revillame and Andrea Torres.
However, aside from the upcoming project, Trillo recently revealed that he was also supposed to do a project with Cruz, but it was indefinitely canceled due to the pandemic.
“Nagka-pandemic, hindi siya nagkatotoo. Hindi siya natuloy. Pero open pa rin ‘yung project na ‘yon. Dapat makakatrabaho ko siya ro’n and sobrang hoping ako,” the actor said in an interview on 24 Oras’s Chika Minute.
If the project were to push through, it would be the first TV project of Trillo and Cruz together.
The actor did not reveal further details about the supposed project with Cruz but he noted that the project is still open for both of them.
Both actors used to be with Star Magic as their talent management agency back then. Cruz was under the management from 1997-2019 while Trillo was under its management from 1999-2003.
Previously, Trillo recalled his debut via Star Circle Batch 10 where he shared photographs taken 20 years ago.
ABS-CBN’s Star Circle is now known as Star Magic. Trillo’s batch also produced artists like Bea Alonzo, Alfred Vargas, and TJ Trinidad.

Trillo is currently set to star in a Kapuso series titled Legal Wives, which features a Muslim family drama story. He will star with Bianca Umali, Andrea Torres, and Alice Dixson.
The story revolves around Ishmael (Trillo), a Maranao native Muslim who will fall in love and will eventually marry his three wives named Amirah (Dixson), Diane (Torres), and Farrah (Umali), respectively.
