After two years since her last TV series with ABS-CBN–it’s now confirmed that Beauty Gonzalez will be on a new soap via GMA Network.
It can be recalled, in an interview once, the former fourth grand placer of the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus and turned actress once rumored to have moved to Kapuso, but made a statement, “”Kadenang Ginto’ is my make it or break it teleserye. Muntik na kong lumipat sa, muntik na kong makipiyesta sa kapitbahay natin. Pero mas masarap ang pagkain sa ABS-CBN.”
She’s compelled to work with other television networks for practical reasons. She said that she needed to work during ABS-CBN’s shut down and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“My heart will always belong to Kapamilya, everybody knows about that. Nothing will ever change, I’m always gonna be a Kapamilya by spirit, by heart,” she said.
In TV5, she worked as one of the lead roles in the drama series I Got You where she starred with other notable stars such as Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing. She also appeared as Hope Aguinaldo in the mini-series–Paano ang Pasko? and Paano ang Pangako?
But prior to accepting the projects from the Kapatid network, she asked first for permission to do so from her head and bosses at ABS-CBN as a sign of respect to the Network where her roots started.
During her teenage years, she was chosen as one of Cebu’s 12 Prettiest Teens, and crowned as Miss Teen Philippines-Central Visayas in 2006.
After her success in the reality TV show, her career in acting flourished as she got the chance to work in drama series via supporting roles.
Her biggest breakthrough role was Zanjoe Marudo‘s leading lady in the ABS-CBN Primetime Teleserye, Dream Dad (2014). In 2017, she headlined her first major lead role in Pusong Ligaw alongside Bianca King. She then signed her first-ever contract with ABS-CBN in August 2018.
The question now, what will happen to her supposedly TV series, Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z?
