Pinoy Big Brother: Connect Alumnus Amanda Zamora shared how her parents Keri Zamora, and San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora affect her passion for acting.
In an interview, Amanda recalled the values her parents taught her at a young age.
“Growing up sa totoo lang, I didn’t know the value of working hard in terms of resources, sa bahay ko lang yung natutunan. How I was raised, more on sa attitude talaga din sa values. Kasi mas strict pa yung parents ko pagdating sa values compared sa grades sa school.”
Then, Amanda shared the traits she wants to pick up from her parents.Â
“Sa Daddy ko po gusto ko pong makuha yung leadership kasi doon po ako nagkulang sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya. Kasi di sya aligned sa personality ko.Â
“Tapos sa mom ko po, pagiging competitive and driven.”
Amanda is the only daughter of San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora and entrepreneur, blogger, and women’s health and rights advocate Keri Zamora.
Amanda then recounted how her parents supported her during her PBB: Connect bid via KUMU.
“Kasi, kapag napapagod ako I tend to say na I don’t like na ano na something else na lang. Pero they always remind na ito yung gusto ko since bata. They always remind na gusto mo bang sayangin lahat pinaghirapan just because it’s hard now. Eh lahat naman ng fields in life like may paghihirap na mararanasan.”
She added that her parents want to see her experience more in her acting career after PBB: Connect.
“They’re happy to see na ito yung narating ko when it comes to PBB. Pero syempre they want me to see me experience more things after sa paglabas ko ng bahay.”
Amanda also reveals that her mom guides her in terms of her social media presence.Â
“Yung Mommy ko po naggu-guide sa akin. Kasi po medyo pag wala pong maggu-guide sa akin sobrang maba-bash po ako about everything kasi ayun minsan po kailangan may mag-sabi sa akin na “wag ganito, wag ganyan kasi madaming ng nanonood.”
After winning the KUMU contest, Zamora joined the PBB house as one of the additional housemates of PBB: Connect. The reality TV show dubbed her the Unique-A Hija Darling ng San Juan.Â
Now, she is currently working to improve her acting career under the teaching of Director Rahyan Carlos of Star Magic. She also keeps her active social media presence through her KUMU streams.
